I’m going to take a guess here and say that perhaps you’ve heard in the media or social media that soy foods are “bad” and should be avoided in your family’s vegan diet.

Many vegan parents like yourself have heard negative health outcomes for the consumption of soy foods like tofu, tempeh, and soy milk. This has left you with some doubts about the use of soy foods in your vegan child’s meals and snacks.

In today’s episode, I am breaking down the top 3 most common misconceptions about the use of soy foods in our children’s vegan diet.

Here’s what we cover:

>> The nutritional profile of soy foods and how they fit in supporting a child’s growth
>> What the difference is between phytoestrogen and estrogen
>> How soy foods does not cause feminization in boys or male humans
>> How consumption of soy foods early in life can reduce risk of developing breast cancer
>> What are genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and how this relates to soy consumption
