People's Organic
Restaurant Review

My husband and I found People’s Organic through a quick Yelp search for a fun vegan lunch spot. This order-at-the-counter restaurant was appealing because of its menu options and also atmosphere. People’s Organic is a Minnesota-based restaurant and can be found in various locations throughout the Minneapolis area. The one closest to us at the time was in Eden Prairie.

People’s Organic stems in providing nutritious and organic foods to customers by committing to sustainable practices. Through their values, they support local farmers and the community which you can learn more about it here.

Their menu is very extensive! Although they are not exclusively vegan, they offer a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options which is clearly marked on their menu. I know I've mentioned this before but I love when restaurants clearly mark this because it takes the guess away and makes it easier to order. Due to their extensive list of options, the menu items were listed in a small print and made it difficult to read – even with my glasses on. But don’t worry, they do accommodate with a paper menu!

My husband ordered the People’s Best Veggie Wrap with a side of fries (boy does he love fries!). I did have a couple bites of his veggie wrap which had good flavor. It wasn't the prettiest of color pattern but the flavor makes up for it. It's simple, filling, and overall a great lunch option.

I ordered their Buddha Salad because it seemed the most nutritionally balanced (a dietitian’s mentality). The greens seemed really crisp and fresh which is always nice to see in restaurants. It was accompanied with a lemon-herbed vinaigrette which just needed a tiny bit of seasoning to make it pop. I love when salads have crunchy textures in them, such as cucumbers and radishes. Needless to say, both of us would order these dishes again!

The next time I visit, I want to try their Vegan Black Bean Chili. It just sounds SO comforting!
